Groceries are essential part of our day-to-day lives and spending on grocery and daily essentials is the largest and most consistent share of the wallet for any household.
Increasing penetration of Internet connectivity with handy smart phones and growing popularity of online shopping, many entrepreneurs have seen the potential in creating e-stores for groceries. One of them is Ms Joshi who is the founder of Midiyadi Daily Needs. It is an Online E-Commerce Store, providing home deliveries of groceries in Belapur, Navi Mumbai. In other words it is an online supermarket which has products ranging from Groceries, Dairy, Bakery, Beverages etc.

The recent impact of the #Corona virus pandemic gave Ms. Joshi an idea to partner with Eka Solutions and start-off an E-commerce Store to sell groceries online and she started his E-shop by the name https://midiyadidailyneeds.in in April 2020.
However, the start was difficult as there were many challenges to tackle before the venture could be termed as a success! Biggest challenge was setting up an Ecommerce Store with no prior experience, diversifying payment options and other entry barriers such as skilled labor, getting hold of products from manufacturers directly, delivery system and managing a huge warehouse. And To Top-up competitors who were already well established like Reliance Fresh, Big Basket etc.
Keeping all this in mind, Ms. Joshi decided to go ahead with her plan and from day one indulged in direct buying from manufacturers and acted as a facilitator between sellers and buyers. This has helped her leverage of a better margin on every product and a better position to offer cheaper rates to customers.
Soon she received her first order and that was the first step to success. This was great inspiration and encouraged the efforts into creating an online income. The journey began and slowly orders started pouring in from all across Navi Mumbai.
Currently they are managing 10-20 orders everyday. With each delivery Ms. Joshi makes sure that Safety protocols are taken on handling and packaging the products. Several precautionary measures are taken to ensure the safety and hygiene of both the delivery representative and consumers. The staff is well trained with proper method and frequency of hand sanitisation, sneezing etiquette, and wearing of masks.
